StripeCount displays the number of installed packages in Zebra

Although Cydia is the default package manager for the checkra1n and unc0ver jailbreaks, Sileo is the default package manager for the Chimera, Odyssey, and Odysseyra1n jailbreaks, it’s not uncommon for jailbreakers to install an alternative package manager such as Zebra.

Zebra is a great option for anyone looking to try a lightweight and third party package manager, but one thing I wish it did out of the box was display how many installed packages I had.

Fortunately, there’s no shortage of jailbreak tweaks available that can make this happen, and the latest of such tweaks is one called StripeCount by iOS developer Lightmann.

In the screenshot examples above, which depict the Zebra package manager in both its dark and light interface configurations, you can see that StripeCount adds an installed package count to the app’s native user interface.

The package count doesn’t appear obscure, and in fact melds well to the existing interface in such a way that it looks like it belonged there in the first place.

If you install a lot of packages on your pwned handset, then having some kind of count for installed packages can be a handy way to help you keep up with housecleaning every now and again. After all, uninstalling packages you don’t use that often can help improve battery life and handset performance.

Those interested in giving the StripeCount tweak a try can download it for free from the BigBoss repository via their favorite package manager. The tweak works with jailbroken iOS 12, 13, and 14 devices, however please keep in mind that it’s only intended for the Zebra package manager; it won’t work for any other package manager apps.

As always, Lightmann has open sourced the StripeCount tweak. The source code can be viewed on his GitHub page.
