ReachSpring lets jailbreakers respring with the native Reachability gesture

Jailbreakers know just how valuable the ability to respring their device can be, as it’s often used for saving settings that have been applied to third-party jailbreak tweaks, or for installing or uninstalling those very same extensions. With that in mind, it can be incredibly useful to be able to respring on a whim.

While most jailbreak tweaks offer some type of respring shortcut in their preference pane, not all of them do, and a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called ReachSpring by iOS developer Luki120 ensures that an honest respring is never more than a simple gesture away.

Just as the tweak’s name implies, ReachSpring allows users to trigger a respring by invoking iOS’ native Reachability gesture. With that in mind, any Home Bar-equipped device can now be resprung by simply pulling down on the Home Bar.

In our testing of ReachSpring, we found the tweak to be convenient and easy to use. The respring happens immediately after performing the gesture, and because it uses a native gesture, it’s already finely tuned by Apple to prevent false positives. With that in mind, you won’t find yourself respringing your handset by accident very often, if ever.

ReachSpring doesn’t have any options to configure, and given its convenience, it comes with an easy recommendation from us. The tweak is available as a free download from the Twickd repository and supports all jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices. Further, the tweak is open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone interested in learning more about how it works.
