Samsung will unveil its new Galaxy S21 flagship at the January 14 Galaxy Unpacked event

We now know that Samsung will be officially announcing its next flagship smartphones, almost certainly the new Galaxy S21 lineup, later this month as the company just sent out invites.

The Galaxy S21 line is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 and Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chip, depending on the region. The upcoming devices should feature 5G connectivity, 120Hz and 60Hz display refresh rates, and other hardware improvements.

But more important than that, the Galaxy S21 devices are thought to ship without the power adapter and headphones in the box even though Samsung just a few weeks ago mocked Apple on social media over the unbundling of its charger and the EarPods earbuds from iPhones.

If history is an indication, Samsung’s new smartphones should be available to purchase a few weeks after the Galaxy Unpacked presentation has wrapped up.

From the video’s description:

Over the past year, mobile technology has taken center stage in everyday life as people are working from and spending time at home. The accelerated transition to a mobile-first world brings with it the need for devices that can transform everyday life into an extraordinary experience.

The video says Samsung has built new experiences “to make your everyday life” without naming the Galaxy S21, but I think no secrets are surrounding what the South Korean company will announce at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021. The event will be broadcast on the Samsung Newsroom website at 10am EST on January 14, 2021. iDownloadBlog will be providing a handy roundup of everything new Samsung will unveil, based on our remote coverage of the event.
