Apple is shutting down App Store Connect for the holidays between December 23 and 27

As is par for the course, Apple is shutting down the ability to submit apps to the App Store for a bit of time for the holidays.

This is an effort to give App Store staff some time off work, and it’s a string of four days this year. According to Apple, submissions for App Store Connect will be disabled between Wednesday, December 23, 2020 and Sunday, December 27, 2020.

The busiest season on the App Store is almost here. Make sure your apps are up to date and ready for the holidays, as new apps and app updates will not be accepted December 23 through 27 (Pacific Time). Please ensure time for your releases to be scheduled, submitted, and approved in advance. Other App Store Connect and developer account features will remain available.

During this stretch of time, App Store submission of all kinds won’t be allowed. This means both new app submissions and app updates. That means developers need to get their ducks in a row, with pricing and updates, before December 23. Otherwise, they will need to wait until after App Store Connect returns on Monday, December 28, 2020, when things get back to normal.

Of course, while submission aren’t available through the scheduled set of time, other App Store Connect features will still be available to developers.
