Apple seeds first macOS Big Sur 11.1 beta to developers

Apple released macOS 11 Big Sur to the public earlier this month. Now, it’s time to prepare for the next update.

Apple on Tuesday officially seeded the first beta of macOS Big Sur 11.1 to developers. It’s just five days after the public launch of Big Sur. It’s likely that this is not going to be a major software update. However, considering the version number, it’s at least possible Apple is adding some new features to the mix.

Unfortunately, at the time of publication, there’s no information about what’s new regarding this developer beta.

To update, registered developers can use the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. The proper configuration profile has to be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center.

If there is anything new discovered in the prerelease software, we will update this post accordingly.
