Apple’s facing issues with macOS Software Update, Apple Pay, Apple Card, and other services

If you’ve been experiencing issues with things like Apple Pay, or even upgrading to macOS Big Sur, you aren’t alone.

Many people out there in the wild have been making it known that they are running into a range of issues with various Apple services. Apple has officially updated its System Status page to reflect outages across a range of products. That includes the macOS Software Update tool, which isn’t great timing considering macOS Big Sur just released to the public today.

Per the System Status page:

Users may not be able to download macOS Software Updates on Mac computers. The issue is currently being investigated.

In addition to the macOS Software Update tool, Apple is currently experiencing issues with Apple Card, so owners might not be able to manage the credit card via the website. And Apple Pay is currently experiencing issues as well:

Users are experiencing a problem with this service. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.

Maps Traffic and Maps Routing & Navigation are experiencing an outage right now as well. Meanwhile, iMessage is running into issues as well, with Apple saying it may be slow or unavailable.

There’s no word on when these issues will be fixed, but hopefully it will be soon. Have you run into any problems today?
