The new MagSafe Duo charger has passed Korea’s compliance test

Apple’s upcoming MagSafe Duo charger has been approved by South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA), indicating that a launch may be imminent.

The filing was first spotted by MacRumors. Apple officially announced the MagSafe Duo charger alongside its single-device counterpart during the iPhone 12 online-only event last month. However, the accessory still does not have an official release date.

Apple’s charging solutions for this year’s iPhones include the MagSafe charger and MagSafe Duo charger, with the latter designed for simultaneous use with the iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple’s press releases announcing the new iPhone 12 family only mention that the MagSafe Duo charger along with the MagSafe-enabled Leather Sleeve will be available “at a later date.”

Considering that the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max pre-orders are opening this coming Friday, November 6, we suspect that’s when the MagSafe Duo charger will go on sale, too.
