Today Weather offers customizable widgets and accurate forecasts from 10+ data sources [sponsored]

If you’re tired of weather client with boring interfaces and uncustomizable widgets, you may want to check Today Weather. We’ve mentioned the app a few times in the past, but with the recent 2.0 update adding a number of new features, it is time to shine some light on it again.

At a high level, the app checks all of the usual weather boxes: it has current, hourly and daily forecasts, humidity, UV index, severe weather alerts, live radar, and the list goes on and on. It also offers insight into things like current visibility distance, a moon phase calendar and sun rise and set times.

So what sets Today Weather apart from other apps? The first thing you notice is the interface. It’s both sharp and approachable with oversized graphics and colorful charts. It also offers more data sources—pick from openweathermap.org, Weather.gov, Weatherbit.io, and several others.

Now for the big update. It brings the app to version 2.0 and adds support for light and dark mode, new data sources, detailed air quality info, and customizable widgets. You can create your own themes, to match your phone’s theme, with full control over the widget’s background and font colors.

Today Weather is available for iPhone and iPad. Most of the features mentioned above (including themed widgets) are available for free, but some are protected by a premium subscription service. That service runs $1 for 3 months or $2 for the full year.
