“Crash Bandicoot: On The Run!” is coming to the iPhone and iPad in Spring 2021 via publisher Activision and mobile developer King, which is behind the popular Candy Crush series.
From the game’s description:
Crash Bandicoot is back, but this time he’s on the run and on mobile! That means high-speed battle runs across Wumpa Island to save the multiverse from the evil Dr. Neo Cortex; smash crates, avoid obstacles and run into your favorite characters… Not to mention battling your favorite Crash bosses, earning rewards, base building and weapon crafting – all with a customizable Crash!
Developers are promising more than a hundred hours of gameplay, over fifty bosses and a dozed lands to explore. With the launch trailer embedded below.
Engadget reports that the iOS version of the game will include multiplayer mode, the original locations, charcaters and bosses, and so forth.
The game is an endless runner, which will also have weapons crafting and base-building on the go. It features characters aside from Crash that fans already know and love (or hate), including Coco, the goofy-looking Fake Crash and our hero’s nemesis Neo Cortex. You’ll have to defeat Neo Cortex in the Lab, which is one of the franchise’s most notoriously difficult levels.
