Give your Settings app a facelift with the new Riveria jailbreak tweak

The Settings app on your iPhone was provided by Apple as a way to access all of your handset’s options in one convenient place, and while it definitely gets the job done, some users still demand more in terms of the user interface to make it more fun and user-friendly.

Thankfully, iOS developer SouthernGirlWhoCode has just released a new jailbreak tweak called Riveria that redesigns the Settings app’s user interface to be both modular and user-configurable.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, Riveria replaces the standard Settings app interface layout with something totally reimagined. With it, options appear as cells and can be rearranged in any order or colorized to your liking. Another thing worth noting is that certain modules, such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, will display whether they’re connected or disconnected while those akin to Airplane Mode display whether they’re on or off.

Once installed, users will be able to configure Riveria however they want. The tweak adds a preference pane to the Settings app just for that:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Riveria on or off on demand
  • Configure Riveria section names
  • Configure Riveria section colors
  • Configure miscellaneous Riveria options

Of course, we’ll dive into the details for you below:

Sections

In the Sections preference pane, you can:

  • Choose a name for your jailbreak tweak preference pane group
  • Choose a name for your stock app preference pane group
  • Choose a name for your third-party app preference pane group

Colors

In the Colors preference pane, you can:

  • Choose a color for the cells
  • Choose a color for the cell backgrounds
  • Enable random colorization
  • Enable and choose a custom font color
  • Configure an enabled state color (for things like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Configure a disabled state color (for the same as above)

Options

In the Options preference pane, you can:

  • Enable or disable haptic feedback
  • Choose between a horizontal or vertical flow direction

If you’re tired of looking at virtually the same Settings app user interface that we’ve had for the past 13 years, minus a few minor redesigns by way of icons and the addition of new options, then Riveria just might be the right tweak for you.

Riveria is available for $1.79 from the Twickd repository via your favorite package manager and supports jailbroken iOS 13 devices. Support for iOS 14 will be added in the future after checkra1n picks up support for A10 devices.
