AirTags may be available in two different sizes

Reliable Twitter leaker @L0vetodream apparently has it on good authority that AirTag, Apple’s rumored item-tracking product, will be available in two different sizes. The upcoming accessory wasn’t ready in time for Apple’s iPhone 12 video presentation earlier this month, but @L0vetodream, which has a very good track record, claims it’s coming soon.

According to their first cryptic tweet, @L0vetodream wrote that AirTags are “coming soon”, including a “big one” and a “small one” which indicates that the accessory may launch in two different sizes. A subsequent tweet reads as “tag TAG,” leaving little doubt as to what the first tweet referred to.

AirTags may be up for an introduction in November, according to leaker Jon Prosser, but it’s unclear whether the product might launch quietly with a press release or have its own stage time at Apple’s rumored November ARM Mac event. The product would have been unveiled at the iPhone 12 event earlier this month had it not been for the rumored production hiccups.

According to the rumor-mill reporting so far, you should be able to attach AirTags to personal items such as wallets, keys and more, allowing the user to track those items in the Find My app. AirTags are also believed to make use of Apple’s U1 chip for spatial awareness.
