The best Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE cases
Spigen Ultra Hybrid
If you’re looking for a case for your new Apple Watch Series 6 or Apple Watch SE that offers a built-in screen protector, this Ultra Hybrid from Spigen might be the one for you. The screen cover is clear, so you’ll still be able to see the Apple Watch’s display just fine. It also features a shock-absorbent bumper.
The raised bezels around the screen offer a bit more protection for daily use, and the case features precise cutouts for the Digital Crown and side button.
The Spigen Ultra Hybrid case for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE comes in Crystal Clear and Space Crystal color options. There are two sizes, one for the 40mm case and one for the 44mm, both are available now from Amazon.
The Catalyst case is unique in that, while it has a familiar rugged design, it also comes with a strap. As usual, the case fits the Series 4, Series 5, Series 6, and the Apple Watch SE. It offers raised bezels to protect the display, and offers full coverage for the sides of the smartwatch. The front and back of the watch are fully exposed, though, so be aware of that.
However, this specific design of the Catalyst does offer the ability to add a screen protector if you want. And, with the back exposed, it grants access to the ECG and blood oxygen monitoring features.
The Catalyst case does offer some impact resistance, thanks to the dual layer design and truss cushioning system. According to the company, this can protect the Apple Watch from a fall fo up to 9.9 feet. The protective case offers precise cutouts for the speaker, as well as the mic, and the Digital Crown is exposed as well.
The Catalyst case for the 40mm Apple Watch models mentioned above is available now from Amazon.
Spigen Rugged Armor
Another rugged option for your Apple Watch Series 6 and/or Apple Watch SE is from Spigen. The Rugged Armor case features a flexible, shock-absorbent design that’s meant to keep scratches off your smartwatch with daily use. You’ll get the familiar raised bezels around the display, but there isn’t a screen protector pre-installed.
You’ll still get the precise cutouts for all the need-to-have elements of the Apple Watch, with a raised area to easily press the side button. The Digital Crown is fully exposed as well. Plus, you’ll get full access to the sensors on the back of the smartwatch.
The Spigen Rugged armor case for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE is available now in four colors: Black, Olive Green, Rose Gold, and White. Each are available now from Amazon.
This slim TPU bumper case for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE is designed by Caseology. Unlike the rugged cases, this is designed to keep things slim and low profile. Still, it offers shock resistance to keep your watch safe for daily use.
With the case installed you can still easily swap out your straps, and it’s a flexible design to make installation quick and simple. There’s a precise cutout for the sensors on the back of the watch, so you’ll still have access to those features. The Digital Crown is exposed, while a raised button makes it easy to activate the smartwatch’s side button.
There’s full corner protection, a raised front lip to help keep the display safe, and it won’t add any major bulk to your Apple Watch. It’s available now from Amazon in black and pink color options.
Perhaps the most rugged of the rugged cases, Under Armor Gear’s case for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE is designed specifically for the 44mm case size. It has a precision fit, so it will snap on easily and stay in place even with daily use. Even with the added bulk, UAG says it has a feather-light construction, so it shouldn’t be heavy.
The case has raised edges around the display, and you can install or uninstall the snap-on case without having to remove the Apple Watch’s straps. The Digital Crown is easily accessible, as are the sensors on the back for built-in features and wireless charging. There’s no built-in screen protector, though.
