Apple last updated Final Cut Pro X in August, and now it’s back at it again with bug fixes for the professional software.
Apple on Thursday released a minor update for Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, Compressor, and Motion. Each app’s update is meant to address lingering bug issues in the software, and each update is free. The software updates are available now.
The biggest update of the bunch is for Final Cut Pro X. This comes with a variety of improvements, fixing several problems that Final Cut Pro X users might have run into since the last update. You can check out the full changelog below.
- Fixes an issue in which XAVC media from the Sony PXW-FX9 camera is not recognized
- Fixes an issue where brightness levels shift when switching between Better Quality and Better Performance in the viewer
- Fixes an issue in which effect keyframes are not added correctly when using onscreen controls
- Improves stability when using the transform tool with multiple clips in the timeline
- Improves reliability when exporting an FCPXML that contains Compound clips
- Addresses an issue which could prevent sharing at certain resolutions
- Fixes an issue in which sharing a Compound or Multicam clip from the timeline was disabled
Meanwhile, iMovie’s update is meant to fix a problem with sharing video in 4K or HD resolutions. So, if you update to the newest version of the app, that issue should be resolved.
Final Cut Pro X for Mac is $299.99. Compressor costs $49.99. iMovie is free. And Motion retails for $49.99.
