Apple releases macOS Catalina 10.15.7 with bug fixes for WiFi issues, iMac GPU performance, and more

Following a minor update for iOS 14, Apple today also released a bug fixing update for macOS Catalina as well.

On Thursday, Apple released macOS Catalina 10.15.7 to the public. It’s a minor update in the grand scheme of things, and it won’t be adding any additional major features to the desktop operating system. (That’s reserved for macOS Big Sur.) The new software aims to fix some lingering bugs for macOS Catalina users, especially iMac users.

This is a free update, and if you already have Automatic Updates switched on, your computer will automatically download and install the software overnight. If you don’t have this feature turned on, open System Preferences –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.

This update resolves an issue where macOS would not automatically connect to Wi-Fi, and fixes issues with the GPU for select iMac models.
