You can now pre-order Adobe Illustrator for iPad on the App Store ahead of October launch

The upcoming vector-drawing app Illustrator from Photoshop maker Adobe is now available to pre-order on the App Store ahead of its scheduled arrival on Wednesday, October 21.

The design software will enable people to create logos, icons, illustrations and other vector objects on their iPad. The app was designed from the onset with the Apple Pencil in mind.

Here’s an excerpt from Adobe’s blurb:

Design with precision, as naturally as you would with pen and paper. Create lines, shapes, type, gradients and effects. Merge or cut graphics with quick Pencil gestures to remove unwanted areas. Make your graphics pop with all-new effects such as point gradients, radial repeats, patterns and symmetry.

Like with other Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop and Fresco, anything you create in Illustrator is automatically synced across your devices through the Adobe cloud. Illustrator for iPad includes over 17,000 high-quality fonts, more than twenty color palettes, guided tutorials and more.

The iPad-only app marks Adobe’s second major iPad release after Photoshop for iPad in November 2019Adobe has been testing Illustrator for iPad with beta testers since March 2020.

The app Itself will be available for free as part of Adobe’s paid Creative Cloud subscriptions. In other words, you will be able to download and use Illustrator on your iPad as long as you have a Creative Cloud subscription that includes Illustrator.
