App Library, found at the end of your Home Screen pages, automatically organizes apps into one easy-to-navigate view. Aside from suggested and recently installed apps, it makes it a cinch to browse all of your installed apps alphabetically, and it automatically sorts your apps into categories such as Social or Games.

Like with app icons on your Home Screen, the App Library displays notification badges. However, not everyone is a fan of these red circles denoting the count of unread notifications. Thankfully, you can turn the App Library notification badges on or off at will.

How to hide red notification badges in App Library

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. On iPhone, tap Home Screen. On iPad, tap Home Screen & Multitasking.
  3. Turn off the switch next to Show in App Library.

Doing so will instantly hide notification badges in the App Library.

You will no longer have a visual confirmation that there are unread notifications in a specific app unless you check the Notification Center or open the app. Conversely, toggling on this option shall re-enable those icon badges for any unread notifications in your App Library.
