The new Logitech Folio Touch keyboard case for the 11-inch iPad Pro features a built-in trackpad

If you have an 11-inch iPad Pro and you’ve been thinking about getting a new keyboard accessory/case, then Logitech may have the option for you.

The company just announced the brand new Folio Touch keyboard case made specifically for the 11-inch iPad Pro. The new case will fit both 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro models, so even if you have the older model you can still take advantage of this new keyboard case.

The new Folio Touch keyboard case features a built-in precision trackpad. The case offers full body protection for the iPad Pro, wrapping around the backside of the tablet. When the case is closed, the keyboard section of the accessory will protect the display. And when the case is open, revealing the full-sized keyboard and trackpad, it offers a built-in kickstand on the back for positioning options.

The case offers four use modes: typing, reading, sketching, and viewing. And it also offers a dedicated holder for the Apple Pencil.

The Folio Touch brings a familiar and comfortable laptop keyboard layout to iPad Pro users with incredible flexibility and protection,” said Michele Hermann, vice president of mobility at Logitech. “With the adjustable kickstand and foldable keyboard, iPad Pro users can use the laptop like keyboard and trackpad to get work done and then easily move the keyboard out of the way when they want to sketch, watch videos, or read.

Probably the best part of the new Folio Touch keyboard case is that it connects to the iPad Pro via the Smart Connector. This means the case does not need to be charged separately, and it does not need to connect via Bluetooth to your tablet. Just attach the case and it will start working.

Logitech says the Folio Touch keyboard case will launch before the end of July of this year. When it becomes available, it will retail for $160 either from Logitech’s online storefront or from Apple’s online store.

The company is not a stranger to these keyboard cases with built-in trackpads, despite the fact it’s a relatively new market to jump into. Logitech launched the Combo Touch keyboard case for the third-generation iPad Air and seventh-generation iPad with a built-in trackpad earlier this year.
