QuickMarkup makes it easier to access Markup in the Photos app

Markup is an incredibly useful feature supported by Apple’s Photos app, empowering users with the ability to annotate or draw on images before sharing them with others. There’s just one problem however: the default method of accessing Markup on a stock device is both convoluted and cumbersome, and it shouldn’t be.

QuickMarkup is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Simalary (Chris) that effectively fixes this problem by placing a dedicated Markup button in the photo editing toolbar, as depicted in the screenshot example above.

As you can see for yourself, the process to use Markup on a handset with QuickMarkup installed is much more straightforward, necessitating fewer taps and making it easier to edit photos on a whim. Gosh… why didn’t Apple think of that?

For comparison, the the screenshot example below shows the convoluted process that is currently in place to access Markup on a non-jailbroken device:

If you’re ready to save yourself the extra tap and make Markup easier to access, then you can download QuickMarkup for free from the Packix repository via your favorite package manager. QuickMarkup supports jailbroken iOS 13 devices and doesn’t come with any options to configure.

Do you think Apple should implement this style of Markup access in iOS out of the box? Let us know in the comments section below.
