Overhauled Apple Developer Forums go live ahead of WWDC

After Apple Developer Forums have been unavailable for a couple of hours this morning ahead of the promised redesign, the overhauled look is now live.

Accessible at developer.apple.com/forums, the overhauled interface makes use of modern web technologies and responsive layout so it looks good no matter the device. The cleaner look includes simplified navigation with the top posts and tags taking up the two vertical columns so it’s easier to troubleshoot issues and seek answers from the community.

Here’s a message from the company:

The Apple Developer Forums have been completely redesigned so they’re more engaging to use, automatically surface the most relevant content, offer simpler navigation and make it easier to categorize and search for content. Connect with fellow developers and Apple engineers as you give and receive help on a wide variety of development topics, from implementing new technologies to established best practices.

And during WWDC20, the forums will be a central place to engage with the community and over 1,000 Apple engineers, discuss new technologies and get your questions answered.

Interestingly, Dark Mode is not supported.

According to Apple, the redesigned forums will connect the developer community with more than a thousand Apple engineers to answer questions and engage in technical discussions.

“Starting the first day of WWDC, anyone can search and view the forum discussions to follow along and Apple Developer Program members will be able to post their own questions and learn directly from Apple experts,” the company noted last week.

Like before, forum members are permitted to upvote or downvote other people’s responses.
