iOS 14 will reportedly work with all iPhones capable of running iOS 13

We will more than likely get our first look at iOS 14 later this month, during the all-digital Worldwide Developers Conference that kicks off on June 22. And a new report aims to tell us which devices it will work on.

According to a report from The Verifier, Apple is planning to upgrade all current iPhones capable of running iOS 13 to the newest version of the mobile operating system. According to the report, the new software will work on all iPhones that are capable of running the current version of the mobile OS.

The publication’s source is described as a “trusted source from the system development process”, and apparently stems from a leaked version of iOS 14. (Which is more than likely the same leaked version that has been making the rounds.) If it pans out, then iOS 14 will work on the following iPhones:

The original report also has some bad news: This will reportedly be the last major iOS update for the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the iPhone SE (2016). No big surprise there, but for owners of these devices it’s something to be aware of for next year. And for iPad owners, there’s no word on which models will definitely be getting the upgrade to iOS 14 later this year.

If you own one of these older iPhone models, are you hoping iOS 14 runs smoothly? Or will you be making a hardware upgrade along with a software change later this year? Let us know!
