How to see apps and services that have access to your Apple Music on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

You can grant third-party apps and services access to your Apple Music for various reasons. For instance, you might let Alexa have access so you can play Apple Music with your Amazon smart speaker.

But if there comes a time when you might want to revoke access to an app or service for privacy or security reasons. This tutorial shows you how to see what apps and services have access to your Music on iPhone, iPad, and Mac and take the necessary action.

On iPhone and iPad

On iOS, you have a few spots to look for apps and services with access to Music.

From inside the Music app

  1. Open the Music app and tap your profile photo or icon.
  2. At the bottom, you will see a section called Apps with Access that lists apps that have access to your Apple Music.
  3. You can turn off the switch for an app you no longer want to continue giving access to and tap Remove to confirm.

From the Account Access screen

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name from the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases > View Account.
  3. Enter your Apple ID password and tap Sign In.
  4. Scroll down to Account Access and tap Apple Music.
  5. Here, you will see all apps that can access your music activity and media library. To remove one, tap Edit > red delete icon > Done.

From privacy settings

If you know that you’ve granted access to another app but don’t see it listed in either of the above two locations, there’s one more place to look.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll down and tap Media & Apple Music.
  3. Here, you’ll find apps that have access to Apple Music, your music and video activity, and your media library. Move the toggles to disable access to any apps you like.

On Mac

There are a few spots to check for apps and services with access to Music.

From the Music app

  1. The quickest way is to open the Music app and then click Account > Apps with Access from the menu bar.
  2. From there, you can click Remove next to one if you want to revoke access or just click Done if you were just taking a look.

From your account

The second place in the Music app is in your account section. Click Account > Account Settings or View My Account from the menu bar and sign in if prompted.

Scroll down to Account Access, and next to Apple Music, you’ll see the number of apps with access.

Click Manage to view them and then Sign Out to remove one or Done if you’re finished.

From System Settings

You can go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music to see apps that can access your media library.
