With such an unexpected surge in the number of Home Screen folder-augmenting jailbreak tweak releases lately, it can be a tough call when trying to decide which to install. Fortunately, a new release dubbed Folded by iOS developers Thomz and burrit0z appears to be one of the most comprehensive and promising folder-centric tweaks for iOS to date.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, there’s a lot you can accomplish with Folded. It grants users access to a plethora of new settings that stock handset users would drool over, and what’s more is that the tweak is completely free to download.

Whether you want to change the folder layout, colors, text alignment, or hide/show certain elements of the iOS folder user interface, this tweak has options for you.

Once installed, Folded adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking:

After you get through all the extensive settings outlined above, you’ll find a preset section at the bottom of the main preference pane where you can enable presets if you’re feeling a bit too lazy to set them up yourself:

Preset options include:

  • Clean 3×5 folders
  • 2×2 icon, 4×4 insides
  • Modern look
  • OLED mode
  • Bigger folder

Moreover, you can import or export presets or reset all options to their defaults.

At the top of every preference pane is an “Apply” button that can be used to save all the changes you make.

As you’ve just witnessed for yourself, Folded isn’t light on options, and what these developers have provided completely free of cost is rather generous to say the least. Those interested in giving Folded a try can download the tweak from the Packix repository via their preferred package manager. Folded supports all jailbroken iOS 11, 12, and 13 devices.
