Release notes for version 13.3 mention that Shazam now supports Split View multitasking on iPads. “Next time you want to Shazam while watching a video on your iPad, just drag the Shazam app to the right or left edge of the screen to make a Split View,” reads the changelog.
Aside from Split View multitasking, the refreshed software packs an additional improvement: you can now quickly delete a Shazam by swiping left in the Library’s list view. The update follows a February refresh which brought out a new search feature to find artists and songs.
The free Shazam Encore app wasn’t updated at post time with these new features.
The iOS and iPadOS 13.4 updates which released yesterday brought a new Shazam It action to the Shortcuts app. With it, your iOS automation workflows can leverage a device’s microphone to identify nearby songs, as well as use Shazan’s rich metadata in custom scripts and more.
