As part of yesterday’s refreshes, Apple updated iPhone and iPad cases, Apple Watch bands

If the sheer number of products that got refreshed yesterday is anything to go by, Wednesday was supposed to be a major Apple event, only there was no event at all because the new iPad Pro and MacBook Air were announced via a pair of unexpected press releases. But that’s not everything that was unveiled yesterday. As part of yesterday’s product releases, the Cupertino giant also debuted some refreshed iPhone cases and spring-themed Apple Watch bands.

iPhone cases

Apple’s Leather Folio for the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max is now available in Peacock. As for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max silicone cases, those are now available in three new colors: Cactus, Grapefruit and Surf Blue, significantly expanding on the previous iPhone 11 silicone case colors that were limited to just Black and White.

Apple Watch bands

Several of Apple’s popular watch bands now include these previously unavailable color options:

  • Hermès: Noir/Blanc/Gold Swift Leather Single Tour, Orange Swift Leather Single Tour, Noir Swift Leather Allover Print Double Tour, Blanc Swift Leather Allover Print Double Tour and Noir Gala Leather Single Tour Rallye
  • Leather Loop: Peacock
  • Modern Buckle: Deep Sea Blue and Raspberry
  • Nike+ Sport Band: Black/Lime Blast and Midnight Turquoise/Aurora Green
  • Nike+ Sport Loop: Lime Blast/World Indigo and Hyper Crimson/Neptune Green
  • Sport Band: Cactus, Grapefruit and Surf Blue
  • Sport Loop: Neon Lime, Neon Pink, Sunshine, Surf Blue and Vitamin C

Smart Folio for iPad

Apple has also refreshed the Smart Folio case for the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a pair of new color finishes — Cactus and Surf Blue. As noted by MacRumors, the same color options are now available for the Smart Cover editions designed for the standard seventh-generation iPad, the third-generation iPad Air and the fifth-generation iPad mini.

Smart Keyboard Folio

As for Apple’s Smart Keyboard Folio cases, there are no new color options available at this time. However, Apple notes that Smart Keyboard Folios got refreshed with a small design tweak to make the rear camera cutout accommodate both the current and previous iPad Pros.

Magic Keyboard

Let’s not forget about Apple’s new Magic Keyboard-branded cases, arriving in May, designed for the new and previous-generation iPad Pro models and sporting a built-in trackpad.

The new Magic Keyboard case attaches magnetically to your device, have cantilevered hinges allowing smooth adjustments of the viewing angle up to 130 degrees, as well as full-size backlit keys based on the tried-and-tested scissor mechanism that delivers 1mm travel.
