Lysol Kitchen Disinfecting Wipes

clean your electronic devices

In a support document, Apple says you can use either Lysol or Clorox Kitchen disinfecting wipes to clean your keyboard, mouse and trackpad. The key is to squeeze the excess fluid out of the wipe before using it, and then drying off the area with a soft, lint-free cloth afterwards. Apple says you can use these wipes on your iPhone as well.

Geared more specifically towards electronics, Endust wipes are another good option for wiping down your phone and other electronics. Again there’s no specific mention of disinfecting properties, but since the basic ingredient of the wipes is isopropyl alcohol, they should do a good job of clearing out bacteria.

Here’s a different take on the idea of keeping your iPhone clean—put it in a case. A case can obviously protect your phone from dirt and grime, and they are far easier to clean and disinfect.
