Apple shuts down production on all active Apple TV+ series, including ‘For All Mankind’, ‘See’, and ‘Servant’

Apple TV+

In what’s probably the least surprising move by Apple as of late, it’s being reported that all active productions for Apple TV+ are, well, not active.

Deadline has the report, detailing how Apple has made the decision, along with corresponding production companies, to shut down production of all active Apple TV+ series currently in the works. That includes the upcoming second seasons of Servant, See, For All Mankind, and Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. In addition to that, the upcoming limited series Lisey’s Story has also seen its production shut down for the time being.

So, up to this point, we’ve heard about production shut downs for Foundation and The Morning Show.

That’s about all we have to go on, but, as I mentioned above, this isn’t surprising in the slightest. The entertainment business as a whole is seeing a huge chunk of its business negatively impacted by the global coronavirus pandemic, and it was never going to somehow miss Apple in this regard.

And it hasn’t missed Netflix or Disney, either. In the case of the latter, it has already delayed major blockbuster releases like Mulan from its original March 27 release date. The company has also since stopped production of films and TV series as well. And Netflix has done the same, stopping production on many of its in-development projects as precautionary tactics.

These are all precautionary moves, of course. Apple is simply doing what it can to try and mitigate the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19, the disease it causes. And this is all, hopefully, temporary. However, there is no telling when production on these series will restart.
