Zagg’s Rugged Messenger and Slim Book Go keyboards now available for 10.2-inch iPad

Unveiled at CES 2020, Zagg’s Slim Book Go and Rugged Messenger keyboards for Apple’s 10.2-inch iPad model can now be ordered starting today via the company’s online store.

Zagg Rugged Messenger

This detachable accessory is available for the 9.7-inch iPad, 10.2-inch iPad and 10.5-inch iPad Pro/iPad Air 3. It features a multi-layered design and has strong polycarbonate construction to give it toughness needed to protect your Apple tablet from dings and scratches.

The case is rated to withstand drops from up to 6.6 feet high

Some of the design features accommodate different uses and work environments. For instance, the built-in magnetic stand lets you use your iPad on many surfaces thanks to multiple viewing angles. A conveniently built-in holder for the Apple Pencil stores your stylus.

And speaking of the built-in wireless keyboard that uses Bluetooth technology, you can pair it with two devices at once, like your iPad and iPhone or Apple TV, and toggle between them with a press of a button. Zagg claims that the keyboard’s rechargeable battery lasts up to two years.

Like many other iPad keyboard solutions from Zagg, the Rugged Messenger features backlighting in seven different colors. By comparison, Apple’s Smart Keyboard Folio for the iPad Pro doesn’t have backlight, making it difficult to type on in lowlight conditions.

You can order the Rugged Messenger via the Zagg online store for $100 a pop.

Zagg Slim Book Go

The Slim Book Go keyboard case is available for the 9-7.inch iPad10.2-inch iPad, 11-inch iPad and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. The new 10.2-inch iPad edition is lighter than previous models, sporting a streamlined design that easily fits in a bag when on the go.

Zagg notes that the product’s case cover doubles as a built-in kickstand when reversed, meaning it can support your iPad on one surface while you type with the keyboard on another. The laptop-style mechanical keys are backlit by multi-colored LEDs, and you can easily switch between the available backlight colors and adjust backlit intensity with special keystrokes.

Like the Rugged Messenger keyboard for the 10.2-inch iPad Pro, the 10.2-inch edition of this keyboard will set you back $100. It, too, sports an Apple Pencil holder and can be paired with two devices so you can toggle between an iPad and another device like an Apple TV.

You can order the Slim Book Go via the Zagg online store for $100 a pop.
