Which means you probably want to protect your new devices, just in case. So we’ve put together a quick list of some of the best options for kids that are using Apple’s newest iPhone models. Prices will range, as well as features, but the primary goal here is to keep your phone safe during daily usage.
So let’s get right to it.
The best kid-friendly iPhone 11 cases
This case from Smartish is perfect for kids for a few different reasons, even if it’s relatively simple looking at face value. First and foremost, the Kung Fu Grip feature means it’s easier, more comfortable to hold, and won’t slip out of yours — or your kids’ — hands. Another bonus is that it’s a lightweight case, and it won’t add any excessive bulk to the phone it’s installed on, either. The air-pocket corners help protect against fall damage, too.
The Smartish case also supports wireless charging. But that smooth back of the case also makes it easy to install something like a PopSocket accessory, too. This case is available for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. And while we’re showing off the Smartish case in its eye-catching Blue on the Green color scheme, it comes in a variety of colors, including Nothin’ to Hide (clear), Black Tie Affair (black), Purple Reign (purple), and a flavor of the month option, which, this month, appears to be a floral pattern.
One of the other positive marks for kids is the customization option for showcasing various styles. There are more than five options to choose from, including “Meow’s the Time” that features cats on the back of the case, “Lightspeed”, “Technicolor Tacos”, and other options. There are quite a bit to choose from and they should all stand out.
The Smartish Kung Fu Grip case for Apple’s latest smartphones is available now ranging in price from $11.97 to $21.99.
This is a rugged case, designed for the kids who might be a bit rough with their device, or just for the discerning parent to make sure the device is properly protected just in case. It has a dual-layer design of protection, including a solid inner case and a soft outer cover.
To keep out the elements, there are port covers, too. The case also offers raised edges over the camera setup on the back of the handset, and around the display as well. There is no screen protector, though.
There is a belt clip on the back, making it easy to attach the phone to something for easy access. It can also serve as a kickstand, too, so the phone can be propped up when watching content.
It might not be the flashiest kid-friendly case, but it will definitely get the job done of protecting the handset for daily use. It’s available from Amazon in a variety of colors, including black, “Gone Fishin” (Wet Weather/Majolica Blue), “Love Bug” (Dove/Raspberry), Purple Nebula (Winsome Orchid/Night Purple), and RT Blaze Edge (foliage).
The LifeProof FRĒ Series case is designed for the folks, and kids, who love to get wet and don’t want to have to worry about their phone. The case is a full body design, and it includes a built-in scratch protector over the display as well. The case is also shock proof, meeting or exceeding the MIL STD 810F-516 rating. It can with stand a fall from up to 6.6 feet, or 2 meters.
The case offers full access to the phone’s buttons and other controls, but you’ll need to charge it through the Lightning port because it doesn’t offer wireless charging support.
The phone is completely sealed from outside elements, including snow, ice, dirt, and dust particles. It’s water and snow proof, and the phone, with the case properly installed, can be fully submerged 6.6 feet, or two meters, deep in water for up to one hour.
The LifeProof FRĒ Series case is available in multiple bright, eye-catching colors: Atomic #16 (yellow), Chalk It Up (chateau gray), Fire Sky (Aqua/Red Orange), Violet Vendetta (Sweet Lavender/Aster Purple), and black.
The Spigen Liquid Crystal case is all about the glam. It features glitter-infused TPU materials, making the case shine and offer up plenty of personality. The case itself is lightweight, clear, and flexible, but it’s designed to add just enough protection for your phone for daily use.
The design also makes it easy to install and remove if necessary. The buttons on the side are easy to operate, and the Lightning port on the bottom of the phone is easily accessible as well.
It comes in two colors: Crystal Quarts and Rose Quartz. It’s available now.
Otter + Pop
Finally, the case brought to you by PopSockets and OtterBox. The Otter + Pop case is designed to give your kids’ phone plenty of protection for daily use, and come pre-installed with a PopGrip to make handling the phone a bit easier. The case and PopSockets combo makes it easy to customize the PopTop for a variety of methods to customize the accessory.
The case itself offers the same level of protection that folks have come to expect from OtterBox, even if the case itself is much thinner than, say, the Defender Series. The case also offers support for wireless charging, thanks to the fact the PopTop can be easily removed when needed.
The case itself comes in black, but there are a variety of different PopTops to consider with the initial purchase: Aluminum Black, Gilded Swirl, Glitter Nebula, Metallic Diamond Rose Gold, and Sparkle Black.
The Otter + Pop case is available now.
