If you have been waiting for a price drop for the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, and don’t mind a refurbished model, Apple may have an option for you.

As first noted by MacRumors today, Apple has begun selling the certified refurbished model of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, which Apple launched before the end of 2019. This is the model that’s equipped with the new (old) scissor-switch style keyboard, finally dropping the butterfly style keyboard that some folks just don’t like.

Apple currently has the refurbished 16-inch MacBook Pro with a 15 percent price discount compared to the brand new model, with prices starting at $2,039.00.

As usual, Apple says that all of its refurbished products, including the 16-inch MacBook Pro, are baked by its standard one-year warranty, and also come with free delivery and returns. As well as:

  • Full functional testing, genuine Apple part replacements (if necessary), and a thorough cleaning
  • The original Operating System or a more recent version
  • All refurbished devices are repackaged in a brand new box with all accessories and cables

So if you’re in the market for the new model, check out the refurbished options Apple now has listed. And if you’ve tried out the new scissor keyboard, how do you like it compared to the butterfly style? Prefer it? Let us know in the comments below.
