Apple will be celebrating Black History Month with a variety of Today at Apple sessions

Beginning February 1 and running throughout the month, Apple is going to use its Today at Apple sessions to help folks find creative inspiration.

The Today at Apple sessions have become increasingly popular over the years, and have helped people discover new ways to use their devices and tap into creative reservoirs. That will continue with a celebration of Black History Month, which begins on February 1, 2020. The Today at Apple sessions will tap a range of dynamic creators who are “changing cultural narratives through visual arts, photography, poetry, dance, film, and more. Join creative sessions to connect, collaborate, and be inspired”.

As noted by 9to5Mac, some of the more notable sessions will include the likes of musician Rapsody, as well as events with the Negro National League Centennial and the National Black Theatre. The visual artist Ebony Bolt is also teaming up with Apple for a new session, which will kick off the celebration on February 1.

As is par for the course for these events and sessions, it all comes down to location. Photographers, for example, who are near the Apple Carnegie Library in Washington, D.C. can explore “Color and Culture with Amarachi Nwosu“, which is described as:

In celebration of Black History Month, explore how to edit photos to reflect culture with Nigerian American photographer Amarachi Nwosu. She’ll share how she adjusts saturation, contrast, and tone to create culturally rich images. You’ll get hands-on with iPad and the VSCO app to edit Nwosu’s fashion photos taken in Lagos and Tokyo.

You can use the Apple Store iOS app to sign up for events as well. There will be sessions in Brooklyn, New York; New York City, New York; Miami, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; San Francisco, California; and Santa Monica, California. And as is par for the course, the sessions are free to attend.

Do you plan on attending any of these sessions?
