Apple seeds third beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.3 to developers

Earlier this week, Apple seeded the third developer betas of upcoming software updates to iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. And now it’s time for macOS Catalina.

On Friday, Apple seeded the third developer beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.3. It’s available via the Software Update option in System Preferences, and it’s available to download and install now for registered developers.

There were no additional features discovered in the previous developer betas of macOS 10.15.3, and it’s likely that the third developer beta will follow this trend. However, if there are any new major features discovered in the latest pre-release software, we will update this post accordingly.

However, there have been interesting bits found in the code of the new desktop operating system version. We recently heard about a “Pro Mode” that could be rolled out for portable Macs at some point in the future, potentially with the public launch of macOS Catalina 10.15.3. The Pro Mode was described as giving a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro a shot of extra power, letting apps run a bit faster than normal while potentially sacrificing battery life of the Mac a bit.

The latest beta is available to download and install now.
