JBL’s new colorful TUNE 220TWS wireless earbuds cost $100

Along with the less expensive option, JBL also introduced a $150 option with a few more features packed in.

JBL has just introduced two new pairs of truly wireless headphones (via Engadget), one that costs $100 and another for $150. Both offer colorful options, along with plenty of the features that one might expect to find in a pair of headphones without any wires. At the lower price point, though, you might not be getting as much battery life as you want.

The less expensive option, the TUNE 220TWS (pictured above), features three hours of battery life on a single charge. You can get up to 16 hours of battery life if you tap the charging case to get some extra battery life. Interestingly, you can’t access a built-in digital assistant.

We know the TUNE 220TWS cost $100 and should be available in the United States soon.

Meanwhile, if you want to fork over a bit more money and get a few more key features, the JBL LIVE 300TWS may be the better option. You’ll need to spend $150 to get this pair of truly wireless headphones, but with that uptick in price you can expect IPX5 water resistance. The headphones also feature Google’s Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa are built in as well.

In addition to that, the LIVE 300TWS feature JBL’s TalkThru mode, which will lowers the audio from your phone and amplifies voices so you can talk to people. And AmbientAware will amplify background noises when you need to hear them.

Battery life is still not fantastic, though. You’ll get four hours on a single charge, and up to an additional 14 hours of life with the charging case.

The LIVE 300TWS will be available soon for $150.

JBL has some solid sound quality, and the price point could make these a worthwhile AirPods alternative for some folks out there.
