Images of Smart Battery Cases for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro discovered in iOS 13.2

iOS 13 continues to give us hints of potential new products from Apple, and the public launch of iOS 13.2 is no different.

MacRumors has confirmed that there are assets within the code of iOS 13.2, which was just launched to the public, include images of currently unreleased Smart Battery Cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Specifically, the assets reveal there are three different model numbers, suggesting each new iPhone model will be getting a Smart Battery Case of its own.

There isn’t much else to go on here. The above image, which was included with the report, indicates that the overall design aesthetic of these new Smart Battery Cases will align with the models released for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. However, the rear camera cutout is different, boasting a rounded square design to match up with the newest models.

As far as when Apple plans to actually release these new Smart Battery Cases, that remains unknown for now, too. However, it stands to reason that we could be seeing them in the very near future. Keep in mind that we saw our first hint of new Smart Battery Cases way back in September of this year, along with iOS 13.

And let’s not forget that iOS 13 was hinting at a future release of redesigned AirPods with noise cancellation built in for months, and that turned out to be the now official AirPods Pro.

Of course, it’s also possible that Apple was indeed working on new Smart Battery Cases for its newest iPhone lineup, but has since cancelled those plans. Whatever the case we’ll probably know sooner rather than later.

Still, it may still be a bit of a wait before these new Smart Battery Cases see the light of day. When they do, though, will you pick one up?
