Accessory vendor Satechi yesterday released a new product: Bluetooth Extended Keypad.
Just like its title suggests, it features a full number pad, conveniently-placed navigational arrows and time-saving macOS shortcut keys to help elevate your productivity.
It connects wirelessly to a host device via Bluetooth 3.0 and features a built-in USB-C port for recharging the internal battery (Satechi promises up to 50 hours between charges).
You can continue working wirelessly while the keypad charges, but keep in mind that the accessory cannot be used while plugged directly into your computer.
How about an extended keypad?
The Bluetooth Extended Keypad works with any Bluetooth device that supports keyboards, from your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV to Windows, Linux and more. On non-Apple operating systems like Windows, the keyboard may not support all the macOS shortcuts.
This product restores the functionality of a desktop keyboard to tablets, laptops and other devices that lack a dedicated numeric pad. This is especially important if you type a lot as this keyboard makes data entry a breeze versus narrow keyboards without a number pad.
Here are the key features of the product:
- Rechargeable USB-C port: continue to work wirelessly while the keypad charges for uninterrupted workflow.
- macOS shortcut keys: conveniently placed navigational arrows and macOS shortcut keys help improve productivity.
- Slim aluminum profile: compact, sleek design easily fits into a bag, perfect for working in the office or on-the-go.
The new keyboard accessory, like many other Satechi products, is made from aluminum that feels great in your hand, with a sleek design that promises to complement any modern setup.
