Apple Arcade adds PAC-MAN Party Royale, Manifold Garden, Things That Go Bump, and Ballistic Baseball

Apple Arcade

It has been one week since Apple added a handful of games to Apple Arcade, its newest subscription service focused on playing games on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS devices. And now there is a new batch of titles.

On Friday, Apple added four new games to its Apple Arcade subscription service: PAC-MAN Party RoyaleManifold GardenThings That Go Bump, and Ballistic Baseball. As is par for the course with these types of releases there are a variety of genres to choose from, including a miniature Battle Royale title, a baseball game, a puzzle title, and a title that lets you start some mischief as a spirit in a house.

Most of the titles this week are multiplayer experiences, with the exception of Manifold Garden, which is a unique, “gravity-agnostic” puzzle game.

PAC-MAN Party Royale

First up is PAC-MAN Party Royale, which is billed as “the classic online battle game”. It features the famous PAC-MAN character as you go up against friends in a four-person Battle Royale match, where the last man…well, PAC-MAN…standing is the winner. Players will need to eat pellets to gain speed and catch the Super Pellet first.

Once you get that Super Pellet you’ll be able to eat the other Pac-Man on the field, aiming to be the last PAC-MAN standing. However, eating another player will spawn more ghosts on the board, which will then try to hunt you down while you’re normal-sized.

If you become a ghost you can come back as PAC-MAN if you eat another player’s character.

Bandai Namco published the game, and the company says even more mazes and game modes are on the way.

Here’s a trailer for the title:

Next up, a truly unique puzzle game.

Manifold Garden

Just as we reported earlier this week, Manifold Garden is a puzzle game that’s meant to showcase M.C. Escher-like designs with the topsy-turvy mentality of the film Inception. Fall down in a puzzle and you’ll just go back to where you started, and players will need to manipulate gravity to change the perspective in an effort to complete a puzzle and move on.

How about a player-versus-player baseball game?

Ballistic Baseball

Gameloft brings us Ballistic Baseball, a real-time PvP baseball game that “captures the intense battle of skill and wits” between a player-controlled pitcher and a player-controlled batter. This title actually has full-blown cross-play as well, so you’ll be able to play against others that are on iOS, tvOS, or macOS.

You’ll either be the pitcher or the batter. As the pitcher you’ll be able to select each throw with precision, and as the batter you’ll be aiming for the fences to crush it out of the park.

Players will be able to customize the bats, helmets, uniforms, and more as they play. You’ll also be able to steal bases and pitch perfect innings, all of which will let you earn XP.

Finding a trailer for this game didn’t pan out, unfortunately.

And lastly, how about a spooky multiplayer game?

Things That Go Bump

In this game, forest spirits invade a house at night to bring everyday items to life, like lamps, staplers, umbrellas, and more. Players will need to conquer the “house spirits” to gain energy, which also includes defeating other player characters in multiplayer matches. Cross-play is supported, too, and the games can support up to four players at once.

You’ll need to make your way through each room of the house to battle the other spirits and collect energy, all in an effort to “unravel the secret of Things That Go Bump.”

As is par for the course with Apple Arcade games, these new titles do not have any in-app purchases, and they do not have any advertisements, either.

The newest games for Apple’s subscription service are now available.
