macOS Catalina Supplemental Update fixes installation, Apple Arcade issues, more

In early October, Apple released macOS Catalina 10.15 to the public. And now the company is releasing its first Supplemental Update to fix some lingering issues.

Apple on Tuesday officially released the first Supplemental Update for macOS Catalina 10.15. This update focuses on fixing lingering bug and reliability issues with the initial macOS Catalina 10.15 launch from early October.

The Supplemental Update for macOS Catalina 10.15 is available now for free. It improves “installation reliability of ‌macOS Catalina‌ on Macs with low disk space”, and “fixes an issue that prevented Setup Assistant from completing during some installations,” among other things.

The ‌macOS Catalina‌ Supplemental Update includes installation and reliability improvements, and is recommended for all users.

This update:

  • Improves installation reliability of ‌macOS Catalina‌ on Macs with low disk space
  • Fixes an issue that prevented Setup Assistant from completing during some installations
  • Resolves an issue that prevents accepting iCloud Terms and Conditions when multiple ‌iCloud‌ accounts are logged in
  • Improves the reliability of saving Game Center data when playing Apple Arcade games offline

Looking ahead, Apple is already beta testing the first major update to the latest version of its desktop operating system. The first developer beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.1 was seeded just four days ago.
