This tweak hides when you type to others via iMessage

iMessage is one of my favorite messaging platforms, but I sometimes wish that it provided more privacy while typing to other people. Case in point, I’m not that fond of how iMessage notifies other users with a live status indicator when I’m typing to them.

If you’re in the same boat and you have a jailbroken handset at your disposal, then I think you’ll enjoy using a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called No Typing Indicator 12 by iOS developer ceadd.

Just as the name implies, No Typing Indicator 12 hides your typing actions from other iMessage users. More specifically, you can type to any of your iMessage-using friends and they’ll never see that blasted typing indicator on their end again.

Wonderful privacy indeed… but here’s the kicker: you can still see when your friends are typing to you; No Typing Indicator 12 merely puts an end to the two-way street in this department.

No Typing Indicator 12 doesn’t come with any options to configure. Once installed, it gets to work as advertised.

If you’d like to give No Typing Indicator 12 a try, then you can download it for free from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports jailbroken installations of iOS 12 on any device, including the A12(X) variety.
