iOS 13 code hints at Smart Battery cases for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro

iOS 13 is out in the wild, which means more eyes are looking at it than ever before. So it’s not surprising that its code is revealing even more about what Apple may be working on.

Apple has been praising the battery life in the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, boasting about the hours of additional battery life available compared to last year’s models. However, that doesn’t mean the company still can’t sell some accessories.

According to iOS 13 code discovered by 9to5Mac, it looks like Apple is planning on launching new Smart Battery cases for its newest iPhone models. The new model codes discovered in the code are A2180, A2183 and A2184, which presumably indicates a new Smart Battery case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

However, what the code doesn’t tell us are the really important bits: just how much the new Smart Battery cases will cost, and when Apple plans on launching them. Considering the battery life estimations from Apple appear to be basically right on target, maybe the company will take its time launching its new Smart Battery cases.

Or maybe we’ll see them as early as next month.

If you got yourself a new iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, and if these new Smart Battery cases launch soon, are you planning on picking one up for your new phone?
