iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max reportedly account for majority of pre-orders

Apple announced three new iPhones this year, all of which went up for pre-order on Friday, September 13.

According to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it turns out that the more expensive models are raking in the lion’s share of pre-orders. MacRumors has the analyst’s latest projection, stating that the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max account for roughly 55 percent of total pre-orders for Apple’s new iPhone lineup.

The demand for Apple’s higher-end models is apparently higher in the United States, where Apple is not only pushing monthly installment plans from itself and wireless carriers, but also actively promoting old device trade-in opportunities.

Kuo believes that the high-end iPhones are garnering the majority of pre-orders, while the iPhone 11 is at 45%. Of course, that’s not a bad number for the iPhone 11, considering it’s just one variant, with the iPhone 11 Pro has two variants to choose from.

That will mean that the iPhone 11, as long as everything stays the same, will probably be the best-selling iPhone model of 2019. But that doesn’t take away anything from the higher priced models, which are doing quite well for themselves, it seems. Even if, individually, they aren’t keeping up with the less expensive option.

Basically, this just breaks down as all-around good news for Apple. Looks like its newest iPhones are striking a chord with potential buyers.
