Chimera v1.3.0 released, adds support for A8 devices running iOS 12.4

The Electra Team released another update for the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool Monday morning, bringing it up to version 1.3.0.

Citing a Tweet shared via the Electra Team’s Twitter account late last night, Chimera v1.3.0 adds support for A8 devices running iOS 12.4:

This is particularly good news, as it means more users can now jailbreak their iOS 12.4 devices with Chimera. On the other hand, unc0ver by Pwn20wnd currently supports A7 devices running iOS 12.4, whereas Chimera still does not. We expect that this could change in the near future.

From what we can gather, this is the only change presented in Chimera v1.3.0, and so those who are already happily jailbroken don’t need to rush to download and use the latest version of the Chimera jailbreak tool unless they want to.

As always, you can download the latest version of the Chimera jailbreak from the Electra Team’s official Chimera website, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can follow our step-by-step tutorial to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
