Vinculum brings a Nexus-inspired app drawer to your jailbroken iPhone

If you’re any bit familiar with the Google Nexus 7.0 Nougat app drawer, then it might’ve crossed your mind once or twice about what it might like to have a similar experience on the iOS platform.

If you’re keen about the idea thus far, then you’ll definitely want to try a refreshed jailbreak tweak dubbed Vinculum by iOS developer William Vabrinskas. As you’ll see in the screenshot examples above, this tweak brings app drawer-like functionality to your pwned iPhone or iPad.

Once installed, Vinculum adds a grabber to the Dock so that you can drag up to reveal the app drawer. After you’re looking at the app drawer, you can tap on an app to launch it, scroll up or down to find another app, or use the search bar to type an app’s name and filter it out.

Vinculum also adds a preference pane to the Settings app where you can set the tweak up to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Vinculum on or off on demand
  • Enable or disable application searching
  • Enable or disable the Dock grabber
  • Make it so the search bar always shows
  • Enable or disable application icon labels
  • Adjust the icon size:
    • Small
    • Medium
    • Large
  • Adjust the icon gap:
    • 5 pixels
    • 10 pixels
    • 15 pixels
    • 20 pixels
  • Adjust the background style:
    • Light
    • Dark
  • Hide apps from appearing in the app drawer

If you’re getting bored with the standard iOS Home screen and you’re interested in trying something new in terms of finding your apps, then we suggest giving Vinculum a try. The tweak is available for $1.50 from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo and it supports all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices.
