The keyboard is something that most iPhone and iPad users will interact with on a daily basis, and with that in mind, it makes sense that some users might want to make it theirs.

If you agree with the idea above, then you’ll likely come to appreciate a newly-released and free jailbreak tweak called CuKey by iOS developer DevelopApple. This tweak lets you customize a variety of keyboard-centric attributes, such as its appearance and sound, among other things.

After installing CuKey, you’ll find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure the keyboard to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle CuKey on or off on demand
  • Opt to use the keyboard’s default sound
  • Choose a custom keyboard sound:
    • None
    • Doodle Jump V2
    • Doodle Jump
    • Nintendo Switch keyboard
    • Toggle Tick
    • iOS 6 keyboard
  • Choose a custom keyboard background color via a color picker

Upon setting the tweak up how you like it, you’ll find a respring button at the bottom of the preference pane underneath all the credits. You’ll want to use this button to save any changes you make.

If you’re interested in giving CuKey a try, then you can download it for free from the BigBoss repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices.

What keyboard-centric color and sound combination will you configure on your jailbroken device? Discuss in the comments section below.
