Apple seeds fifth iOS 13, iPadOS, and tvOS 13 betas to developers [update: watchOS 6 beta now available]

Apple this week is seeding the newest version of the iOS 13 beta to developers.

Update: Apple has seeded the fifth developer beta of watchOS 6 as well.

To update, developers need to make sure that the Apple Watch is connected to its charger, has at least 50% battery life, and is within range and connected to the iPhone.

On Monday, Apple officially seeded the fifth developer beta of iOS 13. This release is primarily meant for the developers out there testing the pre-release software ahead of a public launch later this year, preparing their own apps along the way. The latest beta seeds have been making little changes and adding features along the way, and it’s possible this latest developer beta will do the same.

For registered developers, installing the latest beta of iOS 13 requires visiting Apple’s Developer Center and downloading the necessary profile. After that is done, developers can download the update over the air after the profile has been installed and the iPhone and/or iPad has been restarted. The process to update to the latest iPadOS beta is the same.

Updating to the latest tvOS 13 beta involves installing the profile via Xcode

The iOS 13 update is grand in scale, offering a variety of new features. For instance, iOS 13 includes new elements like a brand new Dark Mode, changes to CarPlay, a brand new, redesigned Photos app, Sign In with Apple for a more login process across the web and apps, plus much more.

Meanwhile, iPadOS is built for the iPad lineup specifically, offering more robust features for the bigger screens, including new multitasking capabilities. But, on a broad scale, the two mobile operating systems are relatively the same.

tvOS 13 is getting multi-user support, offering up individual profiles for more than one person in a household. Each profile will have access to their own personalized content, including Apple Music.

If there are any new discoveries made within the latest beta of iOS 13, we will update this post accordingly. And, of course, this is still pre-release software so it should not be installed on your daily driver, but rather a secondary device just in case the experience has any major bugs or other issues.
