Pusher streams your iPhone’s push notifications to non-Apple devices

If all your devices – mobile and desktop alike – are of the Apple variety, then you’re probably accustomed to receiving push notifications from your apps on every one of your devices. On the other hand, this won’t necessarily be the case if you have, say, an Apple iPhone, an Android tablet, and a Windows computer.

Pusher is a newly-released jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Noah Saso that aims to help unify your push notification experience across all your devices, and astonishingly, this still applies even if your devices aren’t all manufactured by Apple.

As you’ll notice in the screenshot examples above, Pusher replicates iOS-style push notifications on other operating systems, including but not limited to Windows. A specialized web extension carries those notifications to other devices, and as you can see, the notification pop-ups include interactive buttons that let you act upon notifications on another compatible platform.

Citing the developer, Pusher uses third-party services like IFTTT, Pushbullet, Pusher Receiver, and Pushover to transmit your notifications to almost any other device of your choice. You can configure a global app list, which works a lot like a blacklist/whitelist, and you can also choose whether push notifications appear when the device is locked, unlocked, or both.

After you install Pusher, you’ll find a preference pane in the Settings app on your iOS device where you can set up your global notification settings, configure your preferred notification service, and more:

In the global notification settings, you can choose between blacklist or whitelist mode, choose supported apps, configure when notifications are displayed on other devices, forward notifications to other devices based on internet connection type, configure sufficient notifications, and view notification logs:

From what we can gather, the developer spent a great deal of time making a useful tweak for those who meet the criteria discussed above. If you aren’t fully invested in the Apple ecosystem and fancy getting push notifications on all your devices, then Pusher is a great tweak to consider downloading.

Pusher is available for $2.49 from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo, and it supports all jailbroken iOS 10, 11, and 12 devices.
