Chimera v1.0.9 released with minor improvements, new version of Sileo

The Electra Team released an updated version of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool on Tuesday, not long after the Sileo Team released an updated version of the Sileo package manager. Chimera v1.0.9 is now the latest version of the jailbreak tool available.

The Electra Team announced the new version of Chimera early this morning, just a few hours after the new version of Sileo was unveiled:

From what we can gather, Chimera v1.0.9 isn’t a particularly significant update, but it does incorporate a few stability fixes and performance improvements to make the jailbreak experience better for all users. Also noteworthy is the fact that it bundles the latest version of the Sileo package manager by default, a win/win for the most part.

According to the Electra Team, those who were unfortunate enough to update to the broken Sileo v1.1.1 before today’s most recent update are advised to re-jailbreak with Chimera v1.0.9 to resolve the problem, as it will install Sileo v1.1.2 over the broken installation.

Like with previous versions of the Chimera jailbreak tool, v1.0.9 is readily available to download from the official Chimera website, and those using an earlier version of Chimera are advised to update to the latest release at their earliest convenience.
