Apple to share June quarter results on July 30

Apple today announced in an update to its Investor Relations website that the company will share financial results pertaining to the calendar June quarter at the end of this month.

A conference call to discuss the third fiscal quarter results with Wall Street analysts and investors will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET. If history is anything to go by, a press release announcing the results will go out about 30 minutes ahead of the conference call. To reiterate, the company no longer reports iPhone, iPad and Mac unit sales.

In December, the firm shocked investors by revising its quarterly guidance by $8 billion. The 3-month period ended June 30 will probably mark the third consecutive quarter of falling iPhone sales. The previous (March) quarter saw the firm report $58 billion in revenue and $11.56 billion in profit, with a whopping $11.45 billion of revenue coming from the Services segment.

For the June quarter, the company provided the following guidance:

  • Revenue: $52.5 billion to $54.5 billion
  • Gross margin: 37 percent to 38 percent
  • Operating expenses: $8.7 billion to $8.8 billion
  • Other income/expense: $250 million
  • Tax rate: 16.5 percent
