One of the greatest uses for Apple Watch is keeping track of your activity goals. You can track your Move, Stand, and Exercise times for the current day and over time. But nothing is perfect and if you’re running into problems with your activities recording inaccurately, how do you fix it?
For instance, maybe you start an exercise that lasts 45 minutes, but your Apple Watch records it as 10 minutes instead. Here’s two ways to fix your Apple Watch not registering Exercise activities correctly.
Fix Apple Watch to register exercise correctly
There are two things you can try to get your exercise activity readings back on track.
Reset the Fitness Calibration Data
When you first get your Apple Watch, it’s recommended that you calibrate it for more accurate workout and exercise activities. But if you’re receiving incorrect activity readings, you can reset that calibration.
1) Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
2) Select My Watch at the bottom and then pick Privacy.
3) Tap Reset Fitness Calibration Data and then confirm the action.
Unpair, reset, and re-pair your Apple Watch
Although not an ideal solution, you can unpair, reset, and then re-pair your Apple Watch to your iPhone. Be sure if you go this route that you set up your Apple Watch new and not from a backup.
