Give your jailbroken handset a clean new aesthetic with Vibrancy

If you’re interested in giving your jailbroken handset a refreshingly-pleasant aesthetic makeover, then you just might want to turn your attention to a newly-released jailbreak tweak called Vibrancy by iOS developer Dylan Duff.

Vibrancy transforms the look and feel of your iOS device by adding bright and vibrant blurs to many of your handset’s user interface. Out of the box, Vibrancy supports each of the following components of iOS:

In addition to those mentioned above, Vibrancy supports several of iOS’ native application interfaces, and those include:

Examples below:

Once Vibrancy is installed, you’ll find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Vibrancy on or off on demand
  • Configure enabled applications
    • Switch between light or dark blur mode
    • Enable in Settings
    • Enable in Phone
    • Enable in Messages
    • Enable in Contacts
  • Enable for the Dock
  • Enable for Widgets
  • Enable for Notifications
  • Enable for the Home Bar
  • Enable for Folder background
  • Enable for the Now Playing interface
  • Enable for the keyboard

The developer provides a Respring button at the top right of the interface, and you’re advised to use this whenever you make changes to ensure that they take effect.

If we had one complaint about Vibrancy, it’d be the fact that it only supports certain apps rather than providing a more systemwide experience. On the other hand, for the apps it does support, Duff has done a great job polishing everything to make it look as good as it possibly could.

Those interested in trying Vibrancy can download it for $1.99 from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices.

Do you like what Vibrancy brings to the table, or do you wish it had more features for the cost? Discuss in the comments section below.
