Apple continues to move ahead with developer betas for the next big update to iOS. Apple will launch iOS 12.4 to the public at some point in the future, but preparation for that launch is not quite finished.
Apple on Tuesday seeded the fourth beta of iOS 12.4 to developers. For those registered as a developer with the company, the new software can be downloaded and installed as an over-the-air update on supported devices. It can also be downloaded by heading to Settings –> General –> Software Update.
At the time of publication, there has not been any new discoveries regarding new features tied to iOS 12.4. There have not been any major features discovered in the previous developer betas, so it’s possible that will continue to be the case this time around as well. However, it is widely expected that iOS 12.4 will usher in support for Apple’s first own-branded credit card, the Apple Card.
The Apple Card is expected to launch this summer, and iOS 12.4’s public launch could coincide with the card’s arrival.

The last big update to iOS was version 12.3. That update only added one major new feature to the mobile operating system, bringing with it the revamped Apple TV app and new Channels feature. Apple did update iOS 12.3 to version 12.3.1 not too long ago, which brought with it fixes for VoLTE and Messages.
iOS 13 is what’s next for Apple, which the company officially announced in early June at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference. That includes a variety of new features, including a Dark Mode, and much more.
