Apple issues press invites for the June 3 WWDC 2019 keynote

Apple today sent out press invites for the WWDC 2019 keynote held on Monday, June 3.

Reporters like John Paczkowski just received Apple’s WWDC 2019 press invite in their inboxes, with invite graphics featuring the same weird mosaic of icons on a darkened background (say hello to the upcoming Dark Mode in iOS 13!) as on rest of the WWDC 2019 website.

Formally announced back in March, the developer-only event will be taking place June 3-7 at San Jose’s McEnery Convention Center, confirming earlier detective work by MacRumors.

WWDC 2019 is an opportunity for developers, enthusiasts and customers to learn about the latest advances planned for Apple’s iOS, macOS, tvOS and macOS platforms. With the refreshed MacBook Pros, the new AirPods, iPad mini 5, iPad Air 3 and other hardware refreshes having already been released earlier this year, WWDC will be about the new features and advances in iOS 13, macOS 10.15, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13.

One of the concepts imagining a system-wide Dark Mode in iOS 13.

According to the rumor-mill, the Cupertino firm may still choose to preview its upcoming modular Mac Pro at the event, as well as its rumored 6K standalone display.

iDownloadBlog will be providing remote live coverage of the keynote.

We expect a lot of software announcements that will define the look and feel of Apple’s platforms for the next 12 months so count us excited.
